Wavelight PRK

At Dr. Daljit Singh Eye Hospital, we offer Wavelight PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy) — an advanced, blade-free laser vision correction technique ideal for those who are not suitable for LASIK due to thin corneas, irregular surfaces, or active lifestyles.
Using the state-of-the-art Alcon Wavelight EX500 Excimer Laser, our surgeons perform PRK with unmatched precision, safety, and comfort — ensuring stable, long-term visual results.

What is PRK?

PRK is the original form of laser vision correction — refined and perfected over decades with modern technology. Unlike LASIK, PRK does not involve creating a corneal flap. Instead, the surface layer (epithelium) is gently removed, and the laser reshapes the cornea directly to correct myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), or astigmatism.
After treatment, a protective contact lens is placed for healing, and the epithelium naturally regenerates within a few days.
