About SMILE Pro & SMILE Eye Surgery

SMILE Pro is an advanced, minimally invasive laser vision correction procedure performed using the ZEISS VISUMAX 800. It corrects refractive errors by removing a small corneal lenticule through a tiny opening—without creating a LASIK flap.
Both use lenticule extraction technology. SMILE Pro uses the newer ZEISS VISUMAX 800 platform with advanced centration and a faster treatment workflow.
It is the advanced femtosecond laser platform used for SMILE Pro, designed for precise lenticule creation and treatment delivery.
SMILE Pro can significantly reduce or eliminate dependence on glasses or contact lenses in suitable patients. However, no refractive procedure can guarantee lifelong freedom from glasses.
Suitability depends on your prescription, corneal thickness and shape, eye health, tear film and other measurements. A comprehensive refractive evaluation is essential.
Yes. SMILE Pro can correct eligible myopia or hyperopia associated with astigmatism, depending on individual measurements and treatment parameters.
The eyes are numbed with anaesthetic drops before treatment. Most patients do not experience significant pain, although some pressure or sensation may be felt.
The laser treatment itself takes only a few seconds. The complete procedure takes longer because it includes preparation, docking and lenticule removal.
